The pick-up truck driver was named Alex, a 26-year-old businessman from Calinog, Iloilo.

Police Captain Edward Villanis, officer-in-charge of the San Dionisio Municipal Police Station, told Bombo Radyo that the motorcycle and pick-up truck were traveling in the direction of Estancia when the accident happened at around 7 PM on November 9.

Due to the darkness on the national highway, it is alleged that when the pick-up truck overtook, it struck the motorcycle, dragging it for around 100 meters.

The couple died on the spot, while their daughter was rushed to Sara Hospital but was later declared dead.
