The family of a businessman killed in a San Manuel, Isabela shooting believes that the motive for the murder was linked to his business dealings.

Two men, identified as Lordwin Ganio and Christian Acierto, were shot dead by an unknown assailant along the national highway in Brgy. District 1, San Manuel, Isabela.

Both victims were residents of Brgy. San Andres, Cabatuan, Isabela.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Cauayan, Grace Acierto, wife of Christian Acierto, revealed that many were envious of her husband due to his thriving pork business in the area.

She noted that prior to the killing, there was a social media post accusing her husband of tampering with the scales, although they do not directly attribute this to the motive for the crime.

The family has yet to identify any suspects, but they are not ruling out the possibility that business rivalry may have led to the murder.

Meanwhile, San Manuel police are reviewing CCTV footage along the route taken by the suspect to identify the assailant.

Investigators confirmed that the suspect fled southbound toward Aurora, Isabela.

San Manuel Police Chief PCapt. Beltran Velasco stated that the crime appears to be an isolated case, as the victims were not residents of the town.
