Face-to-Face Classes Suspended in Parts of Metro Manila on Monday, March 3, 2025

METRO Manila – Due to extreme heat, face-to-face classes in several areas of Metro Manila will be suspended on Monday, March 3, 2025.

Class Suspensions by City:

  • Caloocan City: Public schools from kindergarten to senior high school will shift to asynchronous learning. Private schools will decide independently.
  • Las Piñas City: Suspension applies to all levels in both public and private schools, with classes shifting to online or asynchronous learning.
  • Malabon City: All levels in both public and private schools will adopt modular distance learning.
  • Valenzuela City: No in-person classes for pre-school to senior high school. Online classes will be implemented only if temperatures reach 42°C, as per the city’s automatic class suspension ordinance. Colleges and universities, both state/local and private, will decide on their class suspensions.

According to the state weather’s heat index forecast, temperatures on Monday are expected to reach the danger range of 42°C to 51°C.

  • Science Garden, Quezon City: 46°C
  • Clark Airport, Pampanga: 46°C
  • CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija: 45°C
