Antonio identified the victim as alias “Ben,” 28 years old, and a resident of the said area.

Ben, reportedly intoxicated after a drinking session, arrived at the house of his employer, a Patrolman, who happened to be cleaning his issued Beretta 9mm firearm when Ben suddenly grabbed the gun and started playing with it, causing it to accidentally discharge and hit him in the chest.

Police immediately brought Ben to a hospital for medical attention.

The victim survived the incident and is currently recovering.
