Dr. Rogelio Florete Named Among 2025 Captains of the Industry by PCCI Iloilo

Dr. Rogelio Florete, Chairman of the Florete Group of Companies, has been honored as one of the 2025 Captains of the Industry by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Iloilo Chapter.

The recognition was awarded during a ceremony at the Iloilo Convention Center as part of the celebration of the 120 Years of Iloilo Chamber Movement.

Florete was recognized for his significant contributions to the media industry, expanding its reach beyond Iloilo and creating employment opportunities for Filipinos nationwide.

Engr. Fulbert Woo, President of PCCI Iloilo, emphasized that Florete and other honorees have played a vital role in opening economic opportunities and providing quality jobs.

The Captains of the Industry Award is considered the highest recognition for transformative business leaders who embody dedication to their industries and promote positive values in the community.

Other honorees include Emil Anthony Po (Agriculture), Dr. Mary Lou Lacson-Arcelo (Education), Raymundo Robles (Food Services), Tomas Tan (Hardware), Dr. Vicente Villareal (Healthcare), Romeo Go (Hospitality), Alfonso Uy (Manufacturing), Bernadette Tiu (Real Estate), and Jan Andrew Po (Transportation).

Posthumous awards were also given to Rodolfo Tiu (Wholesale) and Que Hua Pho (General Merchandise).
