Wang Fugui, a Chinese national with access to the files of Chinese tycoon-turned-spy She Zhijiang, confirmed that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is a spy based on She’s documents, but not a special agent.

Guo denied the allegations, asserting she is a legitimate Filipino citizen.

The Chinese Embassy has yet to issue a statement regarding Guo but called the spy accusations “Sinophobic sentiments” and urged relevant parties in the Philippines to stop spreading false narratives that fuel anti-China sentiments.

Wang refused to comment on Guo’s specific assignment or the information she may have provided to the Chinese government but mentioned that special agents often collect intelligence, while others influence China’s political and economic interests.
