Quiboloy Joins PDP-Laban Senate Slate for the 2025 elections, officially becoming part of the party led by former President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a statement released on Friday, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy expressed gratitude to the PDP-Laban leadership for including him in its official list of senatorial candidates.

Quiboloy previously withdrew his Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance (CONA) under the Workers’ and Peasants’ Party on October 21, 2024, following a challenge by labor leader Sonny Matula, who questioned the validity of his nomination.

After initially deciding to run as an independent senatorial candidate, Quiboloy was eventually adopted by PDP-Laban.

He is currently detained at Pasig City Jail and faces charges of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and child abuse.

Other candidates in PDP-Laban’s senatorial slate include Jimmy Bondoc, incumbent Senators Ronald dela Rosa and Christopher “Bong” Go, Jayvee Hinlo, Raul Lambino, Rodante Marcoleta, and actor Philip Salvador.
