Construction Worker Found Dead Inside Coliseum Construction Area

A 22-year-old construction worker was found dead inside a coliseum under construction in Barangay Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

The victim was a worker at the construction site and a resident of San Pascual City, Sorsogon.

Authorities from the Vigan City Police Station received a report about a man found hanging inside the coliseum, particularly on the second floor, northern section of the structure.

Police officers and responders from the Vigan City Health Office rushed to the scene, where the victim was officially declared dead.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Vigan, PLT. Amado Somera, Deputy Chief of Police of Vigan City Police Station, stated that the victim had no known personal disputes, but one of his coworkers noted that he had been unusually quiet in recent days.

The victim’s family is still deciding whether to request an autopsy to determine if foul play was involved in his death.

Investigators are now awaiting the family’s decision regarding the autopsy before proceeding with further inquiries.
