While the election official is in stable condition, his sibling, who was also in the vehicle, is in critical condition.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia urged authorities to take swift action regarding the incident to ensure those responsible are held accountable.

Chairman Garcia stated that the violent act is unacceptable, especially as a loved one was also injured, and called for immediate action from authorities.

In a social media post, Atty. Julie condemned the perpetrators as cowards and challenged them to come forward and identify themselves.
