A Chinese national wanted for deportation due to alleged involvement in human trafficking and prostitution was intercepted by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado confirmed the arrest of 51-year-old Du Shuizhong at NAIA Terminal 1 on September 19, while attempting to board a flight to Chengdu, China.
Du was arrested at the airport and transferred to the BI detention facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, in accordance with a deportation order issued by the BI board of commissioners in November last year.
The order cited Du as an “undesirable alien,” and he has since been blacklisted from re-entering the Philippines.
According to BI records, Du had previously been charged for working without documentation and engaging in undesirable activities. He was found involved in establishments linked to prostitution and labor exploitation.
Du will remain in BI custody until his deportation is executed.
