Central Cee has surprised fans with not one, but two, new releases in quick succession.
First, the unexpected drop of “Billion Streams Freestyle.” This release underscores Central Cee’s monumental success and showcases his unmatched lyrical prowess.
“Said that my bitch was gay, got a billion streams, I’m a mainstream rapper” – Cench opens the track with a reference to its stand-out title.
“Billion Streams Freestyle” is out now, featuring Central Cee’s signature style and powerful lyrics, where he reflects on his success and recent releases. “I’m missing the times I would walk down Shoreditch without fans recording” he remembers – the reality of adapting to fame and being a mainstream rapper.
Later, Cench speaks on his early life – a possible nod towards what’s to come on the forthcoming album: “My dad was homeless with 4 children. He can’t even afford them.”
Hot on the heels of this release, Central Cee has teamed up with JRK 19 for another fresh track, “Bolide Noir.” This collaboration, released just a day after “Billion Streams Freestyle,” adds to Central Cee’s already impressive string of hits this year and builds further on the story he’s been building in France.
Seeing early success in “Polémique”, his collaboration with Parisian rapper Freeze Corleone in 2021, Central Cee went on to also spotlight Ashe 22, hailing from Lyon France, in the iconic European single “Eurovision”.
With a vast fanbase in the country, Central Cee went on to debut at number one in the French charts with his single “Let Go”; the only other British artist to have debuted at number one in France in recent years with an English speaking song, was Ed Sheeran back in 2017. Cench later collaborated with acclaimed rapper and singer, Ninho on their smash single “Eurostar”, which also peaked at Number 1 in France.
“Bolide Noir” continues to demonstrate his versatility as an artist, blending UK rap influences with JRK 19’s distinct sound, creating a track that is sure to resonate with fans worldwide, landing alongside a visual, filmed in Paris earlier this month.
JRK 19, hailing from the Danube district in the 19th arrondissement, is known for his raw, highly technical, and authentic rap. He has captivated a wide audience with his unique style, blending trap and new jazz.
His lyrics often reflect his personal struggles with the law and his desire to break free, adding a depth of authenticity to his music that resonates with listeners on a profound level.
This year has already seen Central Cee making waves with standout singles such as “BAND4BAND,” a groundbreaking, top-10 collaboration with American rap superstar Lil Baby, which spent 12 weeks in the UK Chart, reaching a peak of Number 3, and accumulating over 350 million audio streams.
Another Top 20 hit came from Ice Spice’s “Did It First,” which featured Cench & continues to dominate the airwaves. The significant success of Central Cee’s releases this year has further solidified his position as a global music icon.
With “Billion Streams Freestyle” and “Bolide Noir” now out, all eyes are on Central Cee as excitement builds around rumors of his debut album, which appears to be on the horizon. Fans eagerly anticipate what promises to be a monumental moment in the young musician’s career.
With over 7 billion worldwide global streams, Central Cee’s inimitable trajectory shows he is truly unstoppable.
