Car Rushing Patient to Hospital Crashes into Motorcycle, Three Injured

Three people were injured after a car collided with a motorcycle in Barangay Napaccu Grande, Reina Mercedes, Isabela.

The car, driven by Gerald Agustin of Barangay Palattao, Naguilian, Isabela, struck the motorcycle operated by Roberto Lazaga.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Cauayan, PCapt. Jefferson Dalayap, Deputy Chief of Police of Reina Mercedes Police Station, revealed that initial investigations showed Agustin was rushing his father, who had suffered a hypertension attack, to the hospital.

At the accident site, Agustin attempted to overtake a large vehicle but lost control of the car, crashing into the motorcycle ahead.

The impact destroyed the motorcycle and hurled its riders, while the car sustained severe damage after slamming into the Barangay Hall’s wall.

Lazaga is recovering in the hospital from serious injuries, while his back rider suffered only minor wounds.

Agustin sustained facial injuries and is currently in the custody of Reina Mercedes Police Station, while his father, who was en route to the hospital, is now in stable condition.
