Despite the tragedy near East 41st Avenue and Fraser Street, Carney continued meeting with supporters in Saskatchewan, while previously emphasizing in Ontario that he is the best candidate to guide Canada through crises like the ongoing tariff disputes with the United States.

Meanwhile, Poilievre pledged to cut foreign aid spending and eliminate the federal sales tax on Canadian-made vehicles while maintaining U.S. tariffs.

Carney’s campaign highlighted resilience and leadership amid the mourning, aiming to secure voter confidence ahead of the polls.
