The much-anticipated comeback of global pop sensation BTS has already made historic milestones since the release of their album Arirang on March 20. Now, with the latest Billboard chart announcements, BTS has once again made music history.

The seven-member group reached No. 1 on nine Billboard charts, most notably with their lead single “Swim” topping the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. This marks BTS’s seventh song to reach No. 1 on the chart.

BTS also earned its seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Arirang, recording the biggest sales week for an album by a group in more than a decade, with 641,000 equivalent album units, 532,000 of which came from pure album sales.

Meanwhile, BTS achieved another remarkable feat by becoming the first artist in history to occupy the entire Top 10 of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. They went even further by claiming the entire Top 13 with brand-new tracks from their comeback album.

The only track that did not enter the chart was “No.29”, a 1-minute and 37-second interlude composed solely of the recorded sound of the Sacred Bell of King Seongdeok, a Korean national treasure. Billboard explained that the track was not eligible for this week’s charts, presumably because of its short running time and lack of lyrics, even though it may have earned enough units to chart.

“Swim” also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, marking the group’s record-extending eighth No. 1 hit on the chart.

Beyond these overwhelming historic milestones, BTS also topped the Billboard Artist 100, Digital Song Sales, World Digital Song Sales, Top Album Sales, and Vinyl Albums charts, further cementing their status as one of the biggest artists in the global music industry.

Arirang is the group’s first release since their hiatus, during which each member completed mandatory military service in South Korea. All seven members finished their service in June 2025, and fans (known worldwide as ARMY) had long awaited this momentous comeback.

BTS is also set to embark on the Arirang World Tour, scheduled to run from April 2026 through March 2027.

With this comeback, BTS has proven its extraordinary global influence and shown how deeply its music continues to resonate around the world.
