Body of Woman Found Floating Off Talisay City Coast, Brought to Bacolod by Fisherman

BACOLOD CITY – The body of a woman, found floating off the coast of Talisay City, was brought to Brgy. 2, Bacolod City by a local fisherman early Wednesday morning.

Sammy Linugon, a resident of Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, reported that he was on his way back from fishing in Silay City when he discovered the lifeless body around 3:30 AM.

The body, confirmed to be female, was unclothed when found.

Unsure of what to do, Linugon tied a rope around the body and towed it to Brgy. 2 in Bacolod City.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Bacolod, Linugon mentioned that this was his first time encountering such an incident and he did not know where to take the body.

Authorities from Bacolod Police Station 2 are now investigating the case and coordinating with the Talisay City Police Station to identify the victim.

The woman is estimated to be around 60 to 70 years old and had a wound on her back.

Despite being in the water, the body was not bloated, though it had started to turn yellowish.
