BoC Employee Killed in Motorcycle Collision with Elf Truck in Cagayan de Oro

A Bureau of Customs (BoC) employee was killed after his motorcycle collided with an elf truck in the boundary between Barangay Tablon and Barangay Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City.

The victim was identified as Yasser Pangandaman Amerol, a 29-year-old resident of Barangay Bugo, according to Police Chief Master Sergeant Ryan Sevilleno, a traffic investigator from Puerto Police Station.

The elf truck driver, Juanito Gapatan Gener, was detained following the accident, which resulted in Amerol’s death.

Authorities are conducting further investigation, seeking CCTV footage to verify details of the incident, as only the driver’s account has been obtained so far.

The driver faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, although an amicable settlement between both parties is expected as the incident was deemed accidental.
