Authorities have located the 16-year-old boy who went viral on social media after being filmed dancing without pants while clinging to a moving tricycle along Sumulong Highway in Antipolo City.

The teen, identified only as “Carl,” was apprehended during a tracking operation conducted by Antipolo Police following the widespread circulation of the video online.

Upon apprehension, Carl’s group admitted the act was done in jest.

The minor is now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), while the adult tricycle driver will face charges of grave scandal.

Authorities continue to appeal to the public to refrain from such lewd public displays, especially as such content spreads quickly on social media.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has summoned both the owner and driver of the tricycle involved.

A show cause order was issued requiring them to explain why they should not be penalized.

The driver could face license revocation for reckless driving, while the owner may be fined for employing an irresponsible driver.

The tricycle has also been flagged to prevent further use pending the outcome of the investigation.

The driver has been instructed to surrender his license ahead of a scheduled hearing on June 25.
