The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has reported that the active mobile phone SIM card used by Alice Guo was instrumental in the identification of her location by Indonesian police. This led to her arrest at a townhouse in Tangerang City.

According to the BI Fugitive Search Unit, three cellphone numbers were traced, with one active number used by Guo to pinpoint her hiding place. The BI revealed that a female monk, who identified Guo at a mall, was the owner of the townhouse.

Authorities also identified four Chinese and Indonesian citizens who assisted Guo in evading capture in Indonesia.

It is recalled that the 33-year-old dismissed mayor was ordered to be arrested by the Senate in July due to repeated failures to attend a Senate investigation related to a raid on a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Bamban, Tarlac.

In June, authorities also filed complaints against Guo and others for alleged human trafficking related to the POGO hub raid in Bamban.

Guo is also facing deportation charges from the BI and 87 counts of money laundering and graft in Capas, Tarlac.
