Filipino singer-songwriter and producer Ace Banzuelo embarks on a new musical journey with the release of his latest single, “Minsan.” The track, which blends R&B with dream pop influences, marks a departure from his previous work, signaling a fresh era in his artistic evolution.

Inspired by personal experiences and conversations with friends, “Minsan” delves into themes of betrayal and heartbreak. However, rather than dwelling on the pain, Banzuelo uses the track as a therapeutic outlet, channeling his emotional turmoil into a form of self-preservation and hope for future healing.

“Talking about it with friends really helped me heal from what I went through,” shares the “Muli” hitmaker. “I think the music can speak for itself.”

While Banzuelo’s songwriting often explores themes of heartache, “Minsan” holds a special resonance for the artist. The song’s poignant lyrics are rooted in a real-life encounter, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into his recent struggles.

The aching ballad strikes a chord with anyone who has experienced the sting of betrayal, capturing the raw emotion of the moment with a sense of immediacy.

“Minsan” is characterized by its subdued, impressionistic details and dreamy vocals, revealing a sense of peace and self-love emerging from the emotional wreckage.

The single also marks Banzuelo’s first release since 2023’s “Pag-ibig (Merun Ba)” and highlights his growing interest in dream pop as a genre.

“Recently, I’ve been experimenting with hazy textures and dream pop elements,” Banzuelo explains. “It’s new, but at the same time, it’s something familiar to what I’m used to doing.”

With “Minsan,” Ace Banzuelo showcases his evolving sound, blending non-conventional, experimental elements with his pop-oriented songwriting, offering fans a glimpse into his artistic transformation.
