Alice Guo Presented as Detainee

Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was presented to the media as a detainee upon her arrival in the Philippines.

Guo was seen wearing an orange detainee shirt marked with “CIDG” and handcuffs, which she tried to cover with a white garment. She also wore a black facemask during the appearance.

While onboard the plane, Guo was served with a warrant of arrest issued from Capas, Tarlac.

Requests from the press for her to remove the mask and speak publicly were declined, as Guo cited the absence of her legal counsel.

During the press conference, Guo stood with her back turned to the media while Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos spoke on the situation. She also mentioned receiving threats to her life but did not provide further details.
