The award-winning band – with three of the four original members, vocalist Basti Artadi, guitarist Manuel Legarda, and drummer Wolf Gemora – performed to a capacity crowd of 3,000 in Quezon City last February 7. Even days after the show, Metro Manila remains buzzing with positive reviews, with articles circulating in media and the internet.

Marco Cuneta, who performs with Artadi’s solo band, has taken on the bass duties of the late Mon Legaspi.

Prior to February 7, Gemora has not shared a stage with Wolfgang since 2002 following the release of Black Mantra as he migrated to the United States afterwards.

“I was unable to go to Manila to watch the show,” said Ian Santos who hails from Davao. “The upcoming show will be special for me as well as all Davaoenos who will get to watch one of the all-time greats. I am grateful to be a part of the Wolfgang 30 celebration, as I got the Eikon Records release. Now, it will be complete as I get to watch Wolfgang here.”

Harold Seguritan, a fan from the Philippines’ Summer Capital, made the trip to Manila last February 7. He considers himself lucky that he will get to partake in the Wolfgang Reunion Tour for a second time.

“When Wolfgang performed in Baguio in 1998, I was unable to make it because of a school activity. I thought that maybe the following year babalik sila but it never happened. So, I wasn’t going to miss the show in Manila. Now I have a chance to watch them a second time.”

Similar to Seguritan’s experience, Andy Aba-a, who calls Cebu home, excitedly enthused, “It has been decades since Wolfgang performed in Cebu. The batang ’90s Cebuanos are ready to embrace them back!” (via Rick Olivares/Ovation Productions)
