A 59-year-old Bar Examination passer, Eduardo Regio, is now ready to offer his legal services to indigent defendants after becoming one of more than 11,000 individuals who passed the 2025 Bar Examination.
Regio fulfilled his long-time dream of becoming a lawyer after taking the Bar Exam 11 times, a journey that began in 1993.
In an interview with 102.7 Star FM Manila, Regio shared that his eye condition did not stop him from retaking the Bar Exam, proving that his determination outweighed the challenges he faced.
When asked what inspired him to keep trying despite repeated setbacks, Regio said he drew strength from his five children, hoping to encourage them to persevere and follow in his footsteps.
He also offered words of encouragement to aspiring lawyers and those who have yet to pass the Bar Exam, reminding them not to give up on their dreams.
“Sana huwag silang mawalan ng pag-asa — yung mga hindi pinalad na ilang beses nang sumuko na. Baka sakali, ma-inspire ko kayo, ma-encourage ko kayo. Try lang, wala namang mawawala. Magdasal tayo. Magtiwala sa Diyos. Yung tiwala na walang halong pag-aalinlangan. Nag-inspire sa akin yung mga gusto kong matulungan,” he shares.
At present, Regio continues to serve as Chief of Staff to the Board of Directors of a bank.
