New Wage Hike for Calabarzon Set to be Released – DOLE

A new wage order is set to be issued by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) of Region 4A, covering the Calabarzon area.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma has announced that this order will be released in the coming days.

The last wage hike for Calabarzon was implemented in September 2023, which provided an increase of P35 to P50 to the daily minimum wage. Other regions are currently reviewing their minimum wage rates, with results expected in the following weeks.

This development follows the national capital region’s wage increase that was implemented on July 17, as directed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during the Labor Day celebrations in May.
