Indonesian Police Request Barter of Alice Guo for Australian Drug Lord

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla has confirmed that Indonesian police have requested a barter exchange involving Alice Guo.

According to the Secretary, the Indonesian authorities proposed trading Guo for the detained Australian drug kingpin, Gregor Johann Haas.

Haas was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration in Bogo, Cebu, on May 15. He is wanted by Indonesia’s National Narcotics Board for attempting to smuggle five kilograms of illegal drugs from Mexico to Indonesia on January 29.

It will be recalled that the dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor, Alice Guo, was arrested in Tangerang City and is currently under the custody of Indonesian police.

Remulla stated that the DOJ would carefully study the request made by the Indonesian authorities.
