The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has expressed readiness to support the Philippine National Police (PNP) in managing protest actions set to begin on Sunday, November 16.

AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. said in an interview that no retired generals have approached their headquarters ahead of the planned demonstrations.

He also echoed the earlier statement of Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, who dismissed destabilization rumors as mere political noise outside the mandate of the military.

At present, the AFP is focused on providing necessary assistance to the PNP to ensure peace and order is maintained despite the scheduled protest movements.
