The Antipolo City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) is continuing its intensive retrieval operations for two young boys who were inside their home when it was washed away by a landslide in Sitio Banaba, Barangay San Luis, Antipolo City.

The landslide was triggered by heavy rains brought by Typhoon Enteng.

Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, the bodies of two female relatives of the boys were recovered from the site.

According to the Antipolo CDRRMO, the landslide likely occurred on Monday night due to the intense rainfall caused by the severe weather.

The victims’ house was situated near a slope, making the ground beneath it susceptible to softening from the heavy rains, which eventually led to the collapse.

Rescuers are facing challenges in locating the bodies of the two boys, as they may have been trapped in a hidden drainage system beneath the river.
