Barangay Captain Ma. Ganda Yap emphasized that early evacuation is crucial to prevent accidents and ensure safety during the peak of the typhoon.

As of 3:00 PM, the barangay reported that 166 families or 630 individuals—including senior citizens, pregnant women, children, and persons with disabilities—have already evacuated.

The barangay has distributed essential supplies such as food, water, and other basic assistance to evacuees.

Yap assured that the barangay continues to accept residents seeking shelter, with additional support from the Quezon City Government in the form of water, food, and extra tents.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, evacuee Wilfredo Alcala, 67, shared that he left his home with his wife, grandchild, and sibling due to flood risks, though he expressed concern for his child who remained behind.

His wife, Myrna Alcala, explained that despite having a three-story house, they chose to evacuate for safety, especially since they are elderly and caring for a grandchild who has lost both parents.

Three evacuation centers remain open in the barangay, including the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the gymnasium, and the covered court.

According to PAGASA, Super Typhoon Uwan is expected to make landfall in Aurora tonight or early Monday morning, November 10, before crossing the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon where it will gradually weaken but remain a typhoon.
