Authorities reported heavy waves along Binmaley’s coastal waters, raising concerns of a possible storm surge that could cause sudden flooding in residential areas.

The local government advised residents to evacuate immediately and not wait for worsening weather conditions to avoid danger, especially those living near the shoreline.

Acting Mayor Edgar Mamenta personally visited several evacuation centers to check on the condition of displaced families.

The mayor inspected facilities, food supplies, and identified gaps in basic needs of evacuees.
