Classes Suspended on Nov. 11 in Several Regions Due to Super Typhoon Uwan

Malacañang has announced the suspension of classes at all levels in 12 regions on November 11, 2025, as Super Typhoon Uwan continues to affect large parts of the country.

The suspension was declared under Memorandum Circular No. 106 signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, following the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Regions covered by the suspension are the National Capital Region (NCR), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region I (Ilocos Region), Region II (Cagayan Valley), Region III (Central Luzon), Region IV-A (Calabarzon), Region IV-B (MIMAROPA), Region V (Bicol Region), Region VI (Western Visayas), Region VII (Central Visayas), Negros Island Region (NIR), and Region VIII (Eastern Visayas).

Malacañang emphasized that the suspension applies to both public and private schools, while local government units retain authority to declare additional suspensions depending on local conditions.

The Palace also reminded that government offices providing essential services will remain operational despite the suspension.
