BTS’ RM to become first K-pop Artist to speak at APEC CEO Summit

BTS leader RM is poised to make history as the first K-pop artist to deliver a keynote address at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea.

On October 29, RM will speak during the summit’s second-day cultural session on the topic, “Cultural and Creative Industries and the Soft Power of K-Culture in the APEC Region.”

While details of his address remain under wraps, many expect him to share insights on how Korean culture has become a global bridge fostering unity and creativity.

The APEC CEO Summit brings together leaders from 21 member economies along with global business figures to discuss innovation, transformative industries, and emerging economic trends. This year’s theme is “Beyond Business, Bridge.”

HYBE, the parent company of BTS’ label BigHit Music, is an official event sponsor.

It will operate a promotional booth at the Gyeongju Arts Center showcasing HYBE’s international influence in markets such as the United States, Japan, China, Latin America, and India, along with the achievements of its artists and the fan-driven culture represented by the iconic K-pop light stick.
