THE Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159 has denied the motion of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to be placed under hospital arrest.

In its ruling, the court cited a clinical abstract dated September 30, 2025, submitted by Jail Superintendent Lloyd Gonzaga, which showed that Quiboloy’s vital signs had improved and that he had reported no health complaints since September 25.

According to the report from Pasig City General Hospital, Quiboloy had been cleared for discharge by specialists in pulmonology, cardiology, and nephrology.

“In view of the foregoing, the court finds no compelling reason to place accused Quiboloy under hospital arrest at either the Philippine Heart Center or the Medical City,” Acting Presiding Judge Rainelda Estacio-Montesa stated in the order.

Quiboloy, who is facing two counts of qualified human trafficking, earlier requested to be confined at either of the two private hospitals for medical reasons.

The court, however, emphasized that the religious leader continues to receive proper medical attention from qualified professionals at the Pasig City General Hospital.

“The records clearly establish that his medical needs are being adequately and consistently attended to while in the custody of the Pasig City Jail, and that he continues to receive appropriate, timely, and sufficient medical care,” the court noted.
