Typhoon ‘Enteng’ Maintains Strength While Moving Through CAR

Typhoon ‘Enteng’ has maintained its strength as it continues to move through the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), according to PAGASA. The storm’s center was last located in Rizal, Kalinga, carrying maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 140 km/h.

Tropical cyclone wind signal number 2 remains raised over the following areas: Ilocos Norte, parts of Ilocos Sur (Sinait, Cabugao, San Juan, Magsingal, Santo Domingo, San Ildefonso, San Vicente, Vigan City, Bantay, Santa, Caoayan), Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Quirino (Cabarroguis, Maddela, Aglipay, Diffun, Saguday), Nueva Vizcaya (Diadi, Bagabag), and Aurora (Casiguran, Dilasag, Dinalungan).

Meanwhile, signal number 1 is still in effect over Batanes, the remaining parts of Ilocos Sur, La Union, parts of Pangasinan (Sison, San Manuel, San Quintin, Tayug, Natividad, San Nicolas), Benguet, the remaining areas of Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Aurora (Maria Aurora, San Luis, Dipaculao, Baler), as well as Carranglan, Pantabangan, and Bongabon in Nueva Ecija.

PAGASA has warned that heavy rainfall is still expected as the typhoon continues its course. Typhoon ‘Enteng’ is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
