Dismissed Mayor Alice Guo Ready to Surrender, but Security Concerns Loom

Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is reportedly prepared to surrender but remains apprehensive about her safety.

This was their last discussion on August 22 according to her legal counsel, Atty. Stephen David

David disclosed that while they did not discuss specifics, Guo has been facing multiple threats to her internal and external security, not just from the government but also from other adversaries.

Despite these concerns, David remains hopeful that Guo will surrender, especially as her sister, Shiela Guo, who was arrested on August 21 alongside Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) representative Cassandra Li Ong, has also been provided with security.

Meanwhile, Atty. David also communicated with Wesley Guo on August 31.

While Wesley did not disclose his whereabouts, he inquired about Shiela’s condition and the progress of the case.
