Veteran Showbiz Columnist Lolit Solis Passes Away at 78

Lolit Solis has passed away at the age of 78, as confirmed by former actor Niño Muhlach through a social media post.

Solis was regarded as a pillar of Philippine showbiz, having worked for decades as a columnist and television talk show host.

In recent years, she remained active on Instagram, particularly after being diagnosed with a serious illness.

She had previously disclosed feeling extreme weakness that led to her hospitalization.

A few months prior to her passing, Solis revealed in a post that she was undergoing regular dialysis and expressed a quiet wish—to depart peacefully when her time comes.

As a respected entertainment columnist, she was known for her role in notable programs such as Startalk, CelebriTV, and Tweetbiz Insiders.

She also managed several popular celebrities, including Gabby Concepcion, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Tonton Gutierrez.

Despite her involvement in the controversial 1994 Manila Film Festival scam, Solis remained resilient and steadfast in facing public scrutiny.
