Gretchen Barretto Breaks Silence on Alleged Link to Missing Cockfighters Case

Actress Gretchen Barretto has finally spoken out regarding her alleged involvement in the case of missing cockfight enthusiasts.

The statement comes a day after the Department of Justice named her as one of the suspects, based on claims made by Julie Patidongan, also known as ‘Totoy’.

Barretto, through her legal counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga, clarified that she is merely an investor and has no operational role in the business.

She strongly denied the allegations, calling them speculative and unfounded.

Barretto also revealed that there was an attempt to extort her in exchange for removing her name from the list of suspects.

She refused to pay, asserting she had nothing to do with the disappearances.

Her camp now awaits the results of the ongoing investigation and expressed full willingness to cooperate with authorities.

Earlier, ‘Totoy’ urged Barretto to cooperate, claiming she has full knowledge of the incident.
