Mass Protests Erupt in Israel After Bodies of 6 Hostages Found in Gaza

Widespread protests have erupted across various parts of Israel following the discovery of the bodies of six hostages who were executed by Hamas in Gaza.

Among the victims were three hostages who were expected to be released as part of a ceasefire deal.

Protesters flooded the streets of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Ra’anana, Be’er Sheva, Kfar Saba, Kiryat Bialik, Afula, Ness Ziona, Binyamina, and numerous intersections and bridges.

The demonstrators are calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a ceasefire and a hostage deal with Hamas.

It is estimated that around 300,000 protesters participated in the demonstrations.

In Jerusalem, a protest was held by relatives of the Israeli hostages.

The victims were identified as Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Ori Danino, Almog Sarusi, and Alex Lobanov.
