The Philippine National Police (PNP) clarified that no fitness instructor has been officially designated by PNP Chief PGen. Nicolas Torre III to lead any physical fitness program for the organization.

This statement came after the Public Community Affairs and Development Group (PCADG) invited fitness vlogger Rendon Labrador to participate in the unit’s internal “93 weight loss challenge.”

A memorandum from PMGen. Roderick Augustus Alba, Director of the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations, explained that the June 19 activity was initiated solely by PCADG and involved only its own personnel.

The memo also instructed all police personnel to refrain from spreading misleading content, emphasizing that there was no directive from the PNP chief to hire any instructor to lead physical fitness activities or training.

The clarification aims to prevent the spread of misinformation that could cause public confusion.

Prior to this, PNP spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo also stated she had no personal knowledge of Labrador’s role as a fitness coach within the police force.
