Previously, Musk was closely allied with Trump, reportedly contributing around $300 million to support Trump’s campaign in the 2024 Presidential Elections.

Despite their past ties, Musk strongly condemned the newly proposed legislation, arguing that it would add $3 trillion to the national debt over ten years while cutting budgets for healthcare and food security.

The tech billionaire warned that the bill could place a significant financial burden on American citizens.

Meanwhile, the White House reiterated Trump’s firm support for what he called a “one big, beautiful bill,” despite Musk’s opposition.
