He added that these individuals were not only public servants but also frontliners of democracy who upheld the integrity of the elections.

DepEd reported that more than 660,000 of its personnel served during the May 12 midterm elections.

A total of 758,549 poll workers were deployed across the Philippines to support the nationwide electoral exercise.

Despite the scale of the operation, the DepEd Task Force recorded only 603 election-related concerns through its 24/7 command center.

The issues included malfunctioning automated counting machines, irregularities in ballots and receipts, and concerns over voter lists.

Most of the incidents were reported from Metro Manila and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Nevertheless, DepEd assured the public that these issues were immediately addressed in coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and other relevant government agencies.
