Anson Que murder mastermind may be the victim’s own son, according to a shocking revelation from a suspect arrested in connection with the killing of Chinese-Filipino businessman Anson Que, also known as Anson Tan, and his driver.

The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP–AKG) has recommended to the Department of Justice (DOJ) that Ronxian Gou, also known as Alvin Que, be investigated following information from the apprehended suspect.

Initial investigations reveal that the 42-year-old son acted as a negotiator during the time his father was held by kidnappers and was the one who transferred a P10 million ransom payment to a cryptocurrency account on March 31, followed by another P3 million on April 2.

On April 9, the bodies of Tan and his driver were discovered along a roadside in Rodriguez, Rizal, both tied inside nylon bags with their faces wrapped in duct tape.

Authorities believe the nature of the killing points to a well-planned execution, and the investigation is now focusing on uncovering the full extent of the alleged involvement of Que’s son.

The DOJ is expected to act on the PNP-AKG’s recommendation as the case continues to develop.
