Rider Dies After Crashing Motorcycle Into Power Pole

Cagayan motorcycle crash left a 33-year-old rider dead on the spot after his motorcycle slammed into a power pole in Amulung town.

According to Police Lieutenant Rosa Maribbay of PNP-Amulung, the unnamed victim had come from a wake in the town of Piat and was on his way to visit a friend in Barangay Bayabat, Amulung when the accident occurred at around 4:45 a.m. in Barangay Catarauan.

The police investigation revealed that the victim was under the influence of alcohol and was driving at high speed, which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle and crash into the roadside power pole.

The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained severe head injuries and multiple wounds across his body, leading to his immediate death.
