6-Year-Old Girl Molested and Dumped in a Drainage Canal

Authorities have filed rape with homicide charges against alias Ronald, a resident of Purok 8, Simulao, Barangay Bunawan Brook in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur.

He is accused of sexually assaulting and killing a 6-year-old girl, whose body was found lifeless in a canal around 9:00 PM on April 7, 2025.

According to the victim’s mother, alias Maria, she began to worry when her daughter failed to return home by 6:00 PM, prompting her to ask neighbors for help in searching for the child.

At around 9:00 PM, they discovered the child’s lifeless body in a drainage canal, with bruises on her mouth and abdomen, and visible bleeding from her private parts.

Witnesses claimed that the victim was last seen with alias Ronald before the incident occurred.

Authorities immediately launched a manhunt and later arrested the suspect, who is now detained at the Bunawan Municipal Police Station.
