In an official statement, the DFA said the Philippine Embassy in Yangon has confirmed the retrieval and identification of the second Filipino casualty, who had also been missing for days.

The victim’s family has been informed of the loss, and they have requested privacy during this difficult time.

Out of respect for the family’s wishes, the DFA refrained from disclosing further personal details about the deceased.

Meanwhile, two other Filipinos who were previously reported missing remain unaccounted for, as search operations continue.
