A low-pressure area (LPA) spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will continue to bring rains and thunderstorms to parts of Palawan.

Despite moving outside the country’s territory, the weather disturbance is expected to cause heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the province.

According to the state weather bureau, the LPA will continue to move away, weaken, and eventually dissipate.

Authorities have warned the public to remain vigilant against possible flooding, particularly in Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Quezon, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over the province of Batanes.
