Three Young Siblings Die in a House Fire

Three young siblings died after being trapped inside their home during a fire in a residential area on Avocado Street, Sitio Mabapo, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, on Saturday morning, March 29, 2025.

Authorities identified the victims as Sachna Lexy Siaboc, 6; Razan Kyle, 4; and Athena Lexy, 3 years old.

According to officials, the children were trapped on the second floor of their house when the fire broke out, making it impossible for them to escape as the flames quickly spread.

In an interview with Bombo Newsteam, the children’s mother said she was in a state of shock and grief after losing all her children in the blaze.

She added that no one was home at the time of the incident, as their father had gone out to retrieve his e-bike while she was on duty.

The family questioned why the children were on the second floor when they usually stayed downstairs while waiting for their father.

The fire also destroyed 25 houses, with five others sustaining partial damage.

Fire authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
