The heat index between 42°C and 51°C falls under the “danger” category, posing serious health risks such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.

Meanwhile, in Metro Manila, the heat index is expected to reach 38°C at NAIA in Pasay City and 36°C at Science Garden in Quezon City.

The weather bureau added that while the 2025 dry season is not expected to be as hot as the same period in 2024, the public should still take precautions against the high heat index.
