Motorcycle Driver Dies After Rear-End Collision with Dump Truck

Motorcycle driver dies after rear-end collision with a dump truck along the national highway in Barangay San Pablo, Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur.

The victim was identified as Mike Adam Cuenca, a 33-year-old mortgage broker from San Ramon, Magsingal, who was driving a Yamaha R3 motorcycle.

The Howo dump truck involved in the accident was driven by 36-year-old Rolando Ariola Acosta, a resident of Barangay Bagong Pagasa 56, San Jacinto, Pangasinan.

The truck was parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights on due to a flat tire when the accident occurred.

Reports indicate that the motorcycle, which was traveling at high speed from behind, crashed into the rear of the stationary dump truck.

The impact caused severe head trauma and multiple injuries to the motorcycle driver, who was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The truck driver, however, was unharmed.

The motorcycle driver was wearing a helmet, but he was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
