Former President Rodrigo Duterte has been taken to the “clinic” at the International Criminal Court (ICC) detention facility for further monitoring of his health.

Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who is part of Duterte’s legal team, stated that Duterte’s medicines have been delivered to The Hague.

Roque added that the initial problem was a shortage of necessary medications.

In addition to medicines, Roque said that slippers and socks were also delivered for Duterte.

Furthermore, the detention facility has accommodated Duterte’s meal request for rice, in addition to Dutch food.

On a separate note, Harry Roque clarified that Vice President Sara Duterte is not serving as her father’s lawyer, as the Constitution prohibits her from practicing law while holding her current position.

Therefore, her intention to enter the detention facility and see her father is solely in her capacity as a daughter.
