Drunk Man Falls Into Creek, Found Dead

A drunk man was found dead floating in a creek along Purok 7, Feria St., Barangay Calinan Poblacion, Calinan District, Davao City.

The victim was identified as 52-year-old Edgardo Antoc, also known as ‘Tata.’

In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo Davao, Eduardo Antoc, the victim’s brother, stated that the victim had gone to a drinking session the night before.

According to Antoc, their neighbor was celebrating a wedding, so his brother stayed to drink with other guests.

By dawn, Eduardo searched for his brother but could not find him at the gathering.

He initially thought the victim had simply fallen asleep somewhere, but he was nowhere to be found.

This morning, a resident spotted the victim’s body floating in the creek and immediately alerted authorities.

The victim’s family hopes that no foul play is involved, and authorities currently believe it was an accident.

According to Raymond Ramos, a resident in the area, he heard a commotion around 5 a.m., prompting him to call the authorities.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine if other factors contributed to the victim’s death.

The remains of Edgardo Antoc are now at a funeral home while authorities await further investigation results to confirm the exact cause of death.
