These job openings are offered under the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA).

To qualify as a nurse (Kangoshi) in Japan, applicants must be a Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate with an active Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license.

They must also have at least three years of experience working in a hospital, clinic, or health center.

Additionally, candidates must be highly motivated and committed to training and working as a Kangoshi to obtain a national nursing license in Japan.

For care workers (Kaigofukushishi), applicants must either be a nursing graduate, regardless of PRC license status, or a graduate of any four-year course with a TESDA National Certificate II in Caregiving (NC II).

They must also be dedicated to training and working as a Kaigofukushishi to qualify for a national caregiving license in Japan.

Selected candidates will undergo a six-month Japanese language training program in the Philippines, followed by another six months in Japan before starting their three-to-four-year employment in Japanese hospitals and caregiving facilities.

The Japanese Embassy confirmed that the language training is free, and candidates will receive a daily allowance throughout the entire training period.
